Ivonne is a passionate music educator, specializing in teaching piano & vocal. She received her Master of Music degree from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, came back to Indonesia in 2005, and has been teaching in the music department of Universitas Pelita Harapan since then. In 2006, she briefly held the position of Dean of Music in Institut Musik Daya, and currently, she also serves as the music director of Jakarta International Community Choir (JICC).

This year (2008) has been the busiest for Ivonne. Her projects include:
- April 19-20: Sakura Matsuri Charity Concert @Nikko Hotel
- May 2-3: JICC Collaborative Concert @UPH (Universitas Pelita Harapan)
- May 11-12: JICC Spring Concert
- August 19: Musical Theatre Concert @UPH Festival
- October 23: WIC (Women International Club) Charity Bazaar
- November 11: AWA (American Women Association) Special Event
- December 7,13,14: Hairspray The Musical
- December 15: JICC Christmas Concert

Still, her private students keep her busy all year long. Many of her private students are currently Indonesian best-selling pop/jazz artists whose CDs (hopefully not pirated!) you’re likely to have on your rack already.

Ivonne firmly believes that a good music education will make a better person. She loves teaching very much and is currently working with her sister, Ivana, to run their new school: MUSIC RÉPUBLICAIN- The New School for Music & Image.
